A Stop the Bleed class teaches you how to properly apply pressure with your hands, place dressings, pack a wound and apply a tourniquet to stop bleeding until the injured can be treated at a hospital. Minutes count. Is a trauma first aid kit available? Does it matter where the wound is on the injured’s body?
The course also teaches you how to assess threats in your surroundings. This is key for accidents, major disasters, active shooter or intentional mass casualty events.
