Course Description

This course defines the role the provider plays in setting professional boundaries in regard to use of social media. The provider has a fiduciary duty to act in the best interest of the patient, is ultimately responsible for managing boundaries, and is accountable should violations occur. Discussion of the correct use of social media, the pitfalls, and development of a policy for the practice to safeguard against misuse of social media.
