Course Description

Bringing Your Practice into Alignment with Patient-Centered Medical Home Guidelines includes the use of Patient Shared Decision Making SDM. The course will describe the principles and evidenced-based practices of using SDM in Practice. The course will use the latest research and data to support the effectiveness of using SDM as a way to engage patients as active participants in their healthcare. It will include understanding of the section of the American Chiropractic Association Code of Ethics in Informed Consent in what the Doctor should disclose to the patient and the inclusion of SDM in chiropractic care. The course will offer information about SDM in the Affordable Care Act and the development of Resource Centers for the inclusion of SDM in population health management. The course will include examples of online Decision Aids and how to implement them into practice.
