Course Description

Dizziness, posture instability, poor balance, vertigo, nausea are all common chief complaints in clinical practice any many times the consequence of disease, dysfunction, or maladaptation of the peripheral vestibular system. This course will provide detailed review of the vestibular canals and otolithic system. Detailed examination skills and flow charts to help the clinical differentially diagnose and provide supportive therapy will be provided in this course. The goal of the course is to provide clinicians with a step-by-step examination and treatment protocol that they can use in their office immediately.

Course Objectives:

1. Understand peripheral vestibular neurology and neuroanatomy

2. Learn how to differentially diagnose peripheral vestibular lesions

3. Learn therapeutic and clinical approaches in managing peripheral vestibular disorders
