Manual Therapies for Chronic Pain Management of Patients During Opioid Crisis
By: Brainucation CCE Hours

Course Description

This is a one hour presentation looking at some alternative methods of working with patients with chronic pain. Some examples include: acupuncture, aroma therapies, and chiropractic. We will discuss data that shows opioid prescriptions quadrupled in a very short time despite that there was no overall increase in pain reported by Americans. Opioids are now killing more people than wars, and manual pain-relief therapies could be a solution to changing that statistic. We will discuss exercise and routines that work best. There will be a brief review on the neurology of pain, and, more importantly, how chiropractic can impact the neurology of pain.
