This course provides an overview of the basics of clinical science literature search and retention, and a brief overview for critically appraising two common study designs published in the clinical literature. Learners will learn to apply commonly used criteria to appraise the evidence in selected journal articles, determine their level of rigor and usefulness, and identify and discuss their strengths and limitations. Resources commonly used by the scientific community will be referenced to enable immediate application of the course content in daily clinical practice.
