Title: IVD Protrusions and Extrusions

Course Description: This course reviews large herniated intervertebral discs, protrusions, and extrusions. We will review prevalence and epidemiology, imaging findings, IVD resorption, spinal stenosis, chiropractic care, and indications and complications of surgical interventions.
Class Dates/Availability: This is an online class that is available to registered attendees at all times.
Hourly Breakdown:
· Hour 1 – Review of the cases, prevalence, and epidemiology of IVD protrusions/extrusions, imaging indications, and nomenclature.
· Hour 2 – Review of IVD resorption and predictive clinical factors, dynamic spinal stenosis, the effect of ADLs, myelopathy and cauda equina syndrome.
· Hour 3 – Indications and contraindications of chiropractic care, surgical indications/complications, and risk management discussion.

· Attendees will gain insight into the epidemiology and asymptomatic/symptomatic prevalence.
· Attendees will be able to discuss and describe the mechanisms of disc resorption and evidence-based recommendations.
