Neurodegenerative disease such as Parkinsonism, Dementia, and other protein aggregation disorders impacts the aging population however early clinical signs can usually occur as early as the third decade of life. This course will teach clinicians how to identify early patters of neurodegenerative diseases and implement strategies to prevent progression in addition to improve function. A detailed discussion of metabolic, immunologic, vascular, pathogenic, and toxicological mechanisms will be presented with clinical strategies to address these factors.
Course Objectives:
1. Learn how to identify the most common neurological diseases
2. Understand the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative changes
3. Learn clinical and therapeutic applications to support neurodegenerative disease
