This session provides an overview on the principles, practices, nomenclature, patient work-up and management of gastrointestinal conditions and diseases that will present to an office e of internal disorders.

At the end of the session, the student will have a detailed understanding of:

• Symptom presentation, work up, treatment and management of conditions related to the

• gastrointestinal system

• Recognize acute abdominal pain and using appropriate clinical judgment determining the best course of action

• An appropriate work up of gastrointestinal symptoms

• Appropriate treatment protocols for gastrointestinal conditions/diseases
