FAKTR: Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab in Houston, TX
By: Texas Chiropractic College

Course Description

The FAKTR Rehab System redefines how you apply the fundamentals of assessing both common and complex MSK injuries and conditions, using an effective combination of evidence-informed assessments; assisting you in creating a patient-centered treatment plan using the FAKTR Concepts. It all starts with assessment.

Then we walk through the 5 Concepts of FAKTR; a framework for treatment utilizing a variety of tools and innovative techniques to strategically address underlying dysfunction in the kinetic chain. Sometimes the place that hurts isn’t the actual problem. We deep dive how to uncover possible pain drivers.

In this fully hands-on weekend, you’ll become proficient in utilizing IASTM, joint compression flossing, myofascial decompression and much more.

With FAKTR, we take it a step further and introduce you to the BioMechanical approach to taping, utilizing Dynamic Tape’s highly elastic tape with strong recoil to continue reinforcing load management and movement modifications long after your patient leaves your office.

Make no mistake, this isn’t a “cookie-cutter” approach to rehab. Instead, we provide you with a roadmap and framework that you can use with a variety of patient populations with most ANY tool or technique you already utilize in your office.

We aren’t reinventing rehab…we’re just redefining it.
