FAA BasicMed Exam Training

Course Description

This training course for DCs, DOs, MDs and others(see below) presents the protocol and procedures used to perform the FAA BasicMed Exam for pilots who are otherwise required to obtain a 3rd Class Medical Certificate from a FAA Aviation Medical Examiner. Those that complete this course receive a 2 hour PACE Accredited Certificate of Completion.


Providers of the FAA BasicMed Exam are required to be a "State Licensed Physician" or a "State Licensed "Specialty" Physician".  Medical/health providers other than DCs, MDs, and DOs, such as Advanced Nurse Practitioners, are not expressly excluded from performing the FAA BasicMed exam but must meet  the "Physician" status described.
