CAT29: Exploring Conditions Presenting to The Chiropractic Office
Students will be able to identify risk factors known as Flags while communicating with patients. They will learn the questions asked during a patient history. In OR CAs are not allowed to take histories. However learning the components of a patient history can assist these CAs with new patient paperwork, patient communication skills, dictation, and/or note-taking. Students will explore common conditions presenting to the Chiropractic office and learn the signs, symptoms, precautions, contraindications, and treatment for each condition. Students will learn to recognize signs of chronicity and the importance of bringing those signs to the DC's attention. This course includes a 2-hour lesson on performing CPR, AED, and CCC. Does not include a CPR card. This is a PACE Approved course. Approved for 6 CA CE hours.
