This course will review the lymphatic system then address what lymphedema is, what typically causes it, where it can be found in the body, signs and symptoms. Various treatment options will be discussed but the focus will be on how to use various types of cups to reduce lymphedema. The course will address the physiologic responses of cupping and benefits to body systems, as well as any contraindications. In addition to lecture, there will be demonstration of technique and then student practice sessions.
