Integrative healthcare providers are seeing a more diverse patient population. This may include patients with low health literacy, limited English proficiency, and limiting life circumstances. This course is designed to assist healthcare providers with a better understanding of how these situations – among others – may affect implementation of patient care directives. Additionally, the presentation will teach providers to create and communicate care plans in a way and format that takes the patient’s circumstances into consideration.
The information delivered will assist providers in becoming culturally competent providers, with tools and information to both better understand patient needs when developing treatment options and deploy those in a way that supports the best patient outcome.
