Today’s Doctor of Chiropractic sees a wide variety of conditions, from acute to chronic affecting patients of all sizes and age ranges. Class 4 laser therapy is a 21st Century technology with solid scientific evidence, consistent clinical results, and very few treatment limitations or side-effects. Class 4 laser therapy is a proven solution for neuropathy, sports injuries, and other painful conditions, and can be an alternative to opioids. The attendee will leave this seminar with better understanding of the science, physiology and safety of class 4 laser therapy, as well as proficiency in recommending treatment plans, delivering treatments. In addition, laser safety and risk management as it relates to class 4 laser therapy will be presented. The course will cover the following topics: laser history, science and development; laser-tissue interactions and laser therapy physiology; literature review and how to analyze a laser therapy study; laser classification and safety; Class 4 therapeutic laser treatment techniques; contraindications and guidelines for treatment. There will be class time, question and answer, group discussion among the participants, treatment demonstrations and hands-on practical application.
