    • Dr. James Demetrious provides a comprehensive review of fractures that may be seen in chiropractic practice (4.0 CE hours).

  • Hourly Syllabus:
    • Hour 1 – Spinal fracture classifications, case presentations – Gehweiler fx, 1st rib/Horner’s, Schmorls node/imaging, acute pars fracture

    • Hour 2 – TL compression fx, ACR criteria, zygapophyseal fx, pars insufficiency fx, osteoporosis, FRAX, TL augmentation

    • Hour 3 – FX complications of RA, sacral insufficiency fx, Bisphosphonates/osteonecrosis, SCFE, elbow fx, pediatric wrist fx, Salter-Harris classification

    • Hour 4 – S-H advanced imaging, scapholunate dissociation, DISI, SLAC, instructive cases

  • Learning Objectives:
    • Attendees will better understand current concepts related to the identification, management and referral of fractures that present to chiropractic office.

    • Attendees will improve diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making.

    • Attendees will be better prepared regarding questions related to fractures.
