Course Description

Case Studies in Chronic Pain will describe the optimal management of a chronic pain patient. The course will use the latest research and data to support the effectiveness of using a biopsychosocial model and plan of care. It will include understanding cognitive behavioral strategies, interventions, and goal planning with the patient using “smart” goal methodology. The course will offer implementation recommendations for the clinician and staff to build a positive support environment for the chronic pain patient. Educational Objectives Upon completion of this seminar, participants are expected to be able to: 1. Understand the biopsychosocial model of care 2.
