ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT OF VIRUSES, INCLUDING COVID-19 AND ITS VARIANTS, USING APPLIED KINESIOLOGY TECHNIQUES
By: Institute for Continuing Education

Course Description

Learn how to detect lymphatic system problems that protect patients from viruses, including COVID-19 and its variants, by using an osteopathic technique that has been part of Applied Kinesiology since 1979. Expert instructor Dr. Paul Sprieser has been using this AK technique regularly with patients since its inception.

The technique appeared in AK founder Dr. George Goodheart’s Applied Kinesiology Workshop Procedure Manual and other osteopathic literature over 40 years ago. That literature referenced throat problems, common cold and tonsillitis, lower respiratory infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia and refractory tennis elbows, sprained ankles and back aches, nocturnal frequency of urination and responses occurring from simple pectoralis traction.

Dr. Sprieser published his findings in the Collected Papers of the International College of Applied Kinesiology, 2021: New Diagnostic Technique for Pectoralis Minor Dysfunction Without Retrograde Position.

This course will cover:

  • Information on the virus and variants from 2020 through present.
  • Information on Applied Kinesiology (AK) and Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), History and Development.
  • Muscles to be learned and tested: Gluteus Medius, Tensor Fascia Lata (TFL), Pectoralis Major Sternal and Clavicular Divisions and Pectoralis Minor.
  • Lymphatic System-Anatomy and physiology of the immune system the spleen, thymus, lymphatic channels and 600 lymph nodes, cisterna chyil, and the right and left thoracic ducts.
  • The original test method of retrograde position with patient supine or face up with head at the bottom of the table.
  • New method of testing for a compromised immune system and method of treatment for a weakness of pectoralis minor, fascial short muscle or strain counter strain.
