Course Description

This course address the common clinical findings involving the upper extremity, including the shoulder, scapulae, elbow and wrist along with the rehabilitative strategies that are involved with each condition. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to: • List the problems and strengths of standard orthopedic examinations of the upper extremity. Knowledge • Differentiate between a structural examination of the upper extremity and a functional examination of the upper extremity. Analysis • Develop effective treatment strategies for common upper extremity conditions and dysfunctions. Synthesis • Recommend a return to play rehabilitation protocol for conditions of the upper extremity with latest research outcomes. Evaluation
