Course Description; Overall a student will be able to: 1. Skillfully perform and define basic i physical, ii neurological and iii orthopedic exams related to the extremities. 2. Perform a gait and postural evaluation, with a special focus starting from the feet up the kinetic chain. 3. Implement and use the Foot Scanner and Atlas Operating System in order to determine the appropriate clinical reasoning for use of custom orthotics. 4. Skillfully perform and define evaluation procedures for the soft tissue and joints in the extremities. 5. Skillfully perform and define selected soft tissue and joint manipulative procedures for the extremities. 6. Perform a comprehensive history and examination of the extremities regions utilizing effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Define and identify uncomplicated common conditions during the evaluation of the extremities. 8. Apply appropriate basic corrective and preventative measures to disturbances affecting the health of the extremities.
