Program Description: This session provides an overview on the principles, practices, nomenclature, patient work-up and management of the pediatric patient in the chiropractic internist office. Recognition, diagnosis and treatment of common childhood complaints. Recognizing and responding appropriately to pediatric emergent issues. Your responsibilities regarding child abuse and recognize symptoms of such. Recognizing and responding to nutritional need, deficiencies and toxicities. The far reaching health effects of nutrition and a healthy functioning digestive system. Long term impact of lifestyle on the pediatric population and how to educate and influence the parents and child. How the role of a chiropractic internist can benefit the pediatric population.
