Title: Mastering Functional Blood Chemistryâ„¢ Total Hours: 19.5 CEU Hours 3-Day Seminar Presented By: Joshua Redd, DC, MS, DABFM, DAAIM Developed By: Datis Kharrazian, PhD, DHSc, DC, MS, MMSc, FACN Course Description and Objectives This three-day course is designed to provide the healthcare professional a review of physiology and the basic concepts of laboratory biomarkers to help recognize patterns of imbalances, to identify cases that may need to be referred for further consultation and/or evaluation, and for health maintenance including dietary, lifestyle, and nutritional support. A review of human physiology will be followed by laboratory applications, differential diagnoses, and clinical applications. Upon completion of the seminar, attendees will be able to: Explain basic blood chemistry concepts and principles Evaluate a complete blood count, chemistry-24, thyroid panel, and lipid profile Recognize when to order special tests and studies Recognize patterns for cardiovascular risk, blood glucose imbalances, thyroid imbalances, immune imbalance, red blood cell imbalances, renal imbalances, and hepatic imbalances Understand nutritional applications and related literature Identify cases that need to be referred for further consultation and/or evaluation
