Course Description

Title: Mastering Brain Chemistryâ„¢ Total Hours: 19.5 CEU Hours 3-Day Seminar Presented By: R. Shane Steadman, DC, DACNB, DCBCN, DCCN, FAAIM, CCCN, CNS Developed By: Datis Kharrazian, PhD, DHSc, DC, MS, MMSc, FACN Course Description and Objectives This three-day course is designed to review the basic concepts of brain physiology and help the healthcare professional recognize patterns of imbalances, identify cases that may need to be referred for further consultation and/or evaluation, understand health maintenance including dietary, lifestyle, and nutritional support, and improve overall clinical competency in neurochemical assessment and neurodegeneration. A review of basic brain neurochemistry and neurodegenerative disorders will be followed by clinical applications. Upon the completion of the seminar, attendees will be able to: Have a basic understanding of neurotransmitters Understand clinical applications for normal health maintenance of brain function and neurotransmitters through nutritional support Evaluate and understand current neurotransmitter testing and non-validity Understand the basic physiology regarding neurodegenerative mechanisms Understand the basic physiology surrounding the blood-glucose connection to brain degeneration Understand the principles and concepts of the brain-gut axis and the brain-immune axis Understand the role of dietary peptides and gluten sensitivity in neurological disorders Identify cases that need to be referred for further consultation and/or evaluation Title:                          Mastering Brain Chemistry™ Total Hours:             19.5 CEU Hours 3-Day Seminar Presented By:          R.
