Course Description

The FMT Movement Assessment Course will introduce novel movement screening and rehabilitation/performance enhancement strategies that are built around considering the whole person neurologically, psychologically, and mechanically. This course will introduce a new paradigm for enhancing human movement using four “Movement Pillars” Psychological, Neurological, Motor, and Connective that will be screened, rescreened and challenged to improve common movement patterns. Neuromechanical assessments will be used to determine if the dysfunction is primarily a mobility, stability, or neurological deficit. The use of digital motion analysis technology will be presented to demonstrate how health and fitness professionals can be more objective when assessing human movement. Discover how using specific corrective tools mobility balls, therapeutic exercise bands, foam rollers, IASTM, Compression Flossing bands, myofascial cups, stability bands/straps and kinesiology tape can improve mobility and stability resilience patterns in the body. A variety of tools will be used to tackle an evidence-informed, brain-based, joint-by-joint approach to movement and functional rehabilitation/performance. The primary goal of this course is to help health and fitness professionals learn safe, simple, and effective tactics to screen movement. Attendees will learn multiple intervention strategies alongside movement assessment to help enhance human movement. This course is intended for health and fitness professionals with all levels of experience with rehabilitation programming and taping.
