Course Description

Overview: The purpose of this lecture and hands-on workshop is to provide clinical insight into treating pregnant and pediatric patients as a chiropractor. The lecture and workshop will provide attendees with a basic understanding of contraindications to care, management of common conditions, adjustive techniques, nutritional recommendations, and rehab exercises used in these special populations. Objective: By the end of the lecture, attendees will be able to: Identify red flags, contraindications, and reasons for referral in pediatric and pregnant patients Apply modifications to adjusting and rehab techniques to accommodate pregnant, post- partum, and pediatric patients Address common pediatric ailments with conservative integrative care Make nutritional recommendations for pediatric and pregnant patients Appreciate the role chiropractic physicians play in the treatment of pregnant, post­ partum, and pediatric patients
