Join Dr. Elise Hewitt as she guides you through treating pediatric patients. Join Dr. Elise Hewitt as she guides you through treating pediatric patients.  Join Dr. Elise Hewitt as she guides you through treating pediatric patients.  In this seminar, Dr. Hewitt, a board-certified pediatric specialist with a pediatrics-only practice, will begin by describing how she shifted into the specialty of pediatrics and how she developed her specialty practice.  She will describe common conditions seen in pediatric chiropractic practices and provide case examples from her office.  To help attendees understand the safety and efficacy of chiropractic care for babies and children, Dr. Hewitt will review the current research on these topics.  After discussing the many unique aspects to having a pediatric practice, Dr. Hewitt will open the floor up for a robust question and answer session.  As always, she will pepper her class with clinical pearls from her 32 years of experience in pediatric practice.     Learning objectives:  1.    Describe the value of chiropractic care for the pediatric population. 2.    Discuss current published research on the relative safety of pediatric chiropractic care. 3.    Review current literature on efficacy of chiropractic care for pediatric conditions. 4.    List five unique aspects to a pediatric vs. an adult chiropractic practice.
