Program Description: Neurological Disorders are a major burden on the healthcare system with billions spent, millions of lives lost per year and a lot of lost revenue. The seminar will cover the topics of documentation, differential diagnosis of various neurodegenerative disease, and how to evaluate each condition. The preparation of treatment plans that will augment function of the nervous system and correlating musculoskeletal system will be discussed. Integrating effective therapeutic modalities with realistic expectations and how to document treatment ethically and properly will be discussed. Learning how to set clinical goals, determine when to collaborate treatment with allopathic and nutritional therapies as well as ancillary care will be discussed. Neurological pathways, laboratory analysis and treatment intervention will be detailed. Program Goals/ Obiectives: Saturday Session: 7.5 hours Physiology and Neurodegenerative Mechanisms To outline the premise of the myriad of neurological diseases. To outline the differential diagnosis of neurological diseases. To discuss methods to delineate the type of disease present. To discuss the cellular components of neurological disease. To discuss the cerebral component of neurological disease. To discuss the sub-cortical components of neurological disease. To discuss the basic laboratory markers that are present to help determine neurological health. To discuss the premise of nutrition to help intracellular function. To discuss the premise of nutrition to help cellular wall function. To discuss the premise of nutrition that can help inflammation and glial priming. To discuss the premise of nutrition and labs that can detect and support underlying mechanisms that can perpetuate neuro-degenerative disease. To discuss laser physiology for cellular function including mitochondrial and glial cells. To demonstrate hands on methods for diagnosis and treatment.
