Clinical Grand Rounds – Chiropractic Management of Lumbar Facet Syndrome - discussion of the clinical presentation of lumbar facet syndrome with specific attention paid to the pathogenesis and differential diagnosis of lumbar disc herniation, disc bulge and radiculopathy. Review of patient history, mechanism of injury, physical examination including neurological and orthopedic evaluation as well as criteria for ordering and reading advanced imaging such as MRI and CT were presented. Discussion involving ligamentous structures such as interspinous ligament, supraspinous ligament and facet capsules was presented. Plain film static and dynamic radiographic studies were reviewed as well as specific sclerotogenous referrals patterns of facet mediated pain.
