After this two-day comprehensive conference we want physicians in their professional practice to approach therapy in patients by treating the causes of chronic degenerative diseases instead of only treating patient symptoms. The course brings innovative approaches and understanding to care based on current review of otherwise unexplored in conventional treatment paradigms. Some topics included: the role of glucose and energy pathways, including AMPK and mTOR in cognitive function and brain aging; Short chain fatty acids and eating for longevity; heart health and bone mineral density according to recent literature on intermittent fasting.
