ACA Webinar: Chronic Pain: Becoming THE Authority in Your Town!

Event date: 4/23/2019 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Export event

This course will dive into the literature and claims data that supports ongoing chronic pain management and reveal a time-tested system to effectively transition patients to self-pay while improving compliance.  Formally called “Transition from Discharge to Wellness”, this webinar has been greatly enhanced with new data and research.  I will show you how to take the stress out of practice.  We will discuss: (1) how insurance views acute vs. chronic care, (2) the literature related to ongoing care, (3) a schematic describing proper evidence-based case management, (4) how to communicate clinical needs to patients, (5) getting your staff on board with the evidence-based direction of practice, and (6) Becoming recognized as THE authority in your town.

Learner Needs:
Many DCs believe that the issue of whether or not to recommend ongoing care is a philosophical issue versus an evidence-based issue.  True empowerment and confidence come with the understanding of the literature supporting ongoing care, combined with internal processes to properly educate patients as well as medical professionals, as well as business and industry leaders.  We need to create an army of well-educated DCs to capitalize on the opioid crisis in order to serve as the preferred solution for chronic pain management.
