It is well known that a third of the adult US population lives in chronic pain. Which has lead and contributed to the utilization of opioids. This session will discuss how evidence-informed non-pharmacological treatment options can contribute to moving patient-centered care in new directions. In addition, safety and effectiveness of care will be explored.  Multi-disciplinary models of care will also be discussed and summarized.

  • Describe and discuss the current state of chronic pain. 
  • Discuss evidence-informed non-pharmacological treatment options for care. 

  • Summarize and explain multi-disciplinary models of care associated with patients in chronic pain. 

  • Discuss the safety and effectiveness of treatment as it relates to chronic pain.
